Pat's Veggie Burger

This is my own recipe. I love it. If you try it please let me know what you think.


1/4 cup quinoa

1/2 cup bread crumbs

1 Tbsp Ketchup

1 Tbsp mustard

1 clove garlic minced

1/2 white onion

1 Tbsp sesame seed

1 15.5 oz can black beans (rinsed and drained - mashed but leave some whole)

1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce

2 flax seed eggs (1 Tbsp Flax seed meal to 2 1/2 Tbsp water for each flax seed egg)

Salt & pepper


Cook Quinoa, I used 1 Cup but used 1/2 cup in the recipe, save the rest for a salad

Cook the onion with the garlic and a little salt until soft

Mix all the other ingredients together

When cooled, add the quinoa and onions

Form into patties and cool in the refrigerator for 1/2 hour

When cooled, cook in a little olive oil until browned

Serve on a bun, I added tomatoes, ketchup, and grainy mustard

For the roasted potatoes:

I used yukon gold

Cut potatoes, add some olive oil, salt and pepper. Mix in a bowl, add to a sheet pan and roast in oven on 400 degrees until golden brown.

Formed and ready to be chilled in the fridge
Roast Potatoes with Olive oil salt & pepper
Cook the burger in a little olive oil
Time to eat!!
